Introduction to Page Titles
The page title is what appears at the very top of your browser when you go to a web site. It is the single most important piece of information on your page that search engines look at. The words you put in your page titles need to be accurate and give the search engines the best description of the content on your page.
Page titles are written in HTML llike this:
<title>Page title here</title>
The page title-tag is placed inside the header tag in the TOP of the HTML page:
<head>
<title>Page title here</title>
</head>
How to Write Good Page Titles
Writing good page title should come naturally after you have created the page content. When you are ready to write your page titles you should make sure that all your web pages have unique titles. In theory, each page on your website contains different information so make sure the title matches the information on the page. For example, your products page contains information about your products, your contacts page contains information on how to reach you, and your services page contains information on the services you provide. Go through each of your web pages and create a title that makes use of the most important keywords.
