Standard and Dynamic Links
For the most part, you will find one of two major types of links on a web site. The first is a standard link which points directly to a file, and the second is a dynamic link which pulls content information from a database to display on a web site. Both types of links can be useful on your web site depending on the results you are looking to achieve.
We know search engines find it very easy to follow standard links. If you are starting out it is recommended that you create your web site using standard links to navigate from one page to another. Standard links lead to little confusion and provide a very efficient way for search engines to index your site properly.
Dynamic links are often used to query or pull information from a database. They are used to retrieve search results, pull large amounts of data, or even build a web site dynamically. These types of pages will usually contain a (?) or other symbols like (&,$,=,+,%) in the URL.
